About Evelyn Kuo

My transformative Journey:

From the rhythms of aerobics to the precision of Pilates, my journey with movement and fitness has been a testament to my love for the body and its capabilities. In 1997, my discovery of Pilates marked a pivotal moment. Not only did it heal my own physical injuries, but it also realigned my entire being. Fueled by this transformative experience, I founded “Essence of Motion Pilates” in Pasadena, California, in 1999.

As the studio flourished, so did my thirst for knowledge. I explored Yoga, Gyrotonics, myofascial stretching and other forms of exercise that further expanded my understanding of the body. Then, in 2000, I encountered CranioSacral Therapy (CST), a healing touch therapy that sparked an electric awakening within me. Eager for more, I delved into CST courses at The Upledger Institute, and quickly learned that my sensitive hands become conduits for profound healing. 

Energetic Awakening

My journey took a spiritual turn as I embraced various energy modalities. Reiki, Breath Meditation, Bio-Dynamic Resonance, Crystal healing, and Shamanic training enriched my practice. These energetic healing modalities helped me learn about my own inner childhood wounds, ancestral and past-life traumas, as well as the wounds of this lifetime’s experiences. This awakening taught me to connect with my Higher Self, realign my body, mind and soul with Earth and the Universe in a highest vibration; a lesson that continues to guide me.

Building a Holistic Practice

Over two decades, I crafted a multifaceted practice incorporating Pilates, private energy healing sessions, workshops, and healing retreats. The challenges of the 2020 pandemic prompted intense reflections, leading me to reevaluate my path. 

A New Chapter: EvelynK Healing:

In 2023, after 24 years of dedication to Essence of Motion Pilates, I made a bold decision to sell the business and begin a new chapter focused solely on energy healing. Thus, “EvelynK Healing” was born in Pasadena, California.

With EvelynK Healing, I offer Private healing sessions, Home/space Energy Clearing,  workshops and retreats, providing you with different avenues for profound transformation.
